Karma-Ann Swanepoel is a South African singer-songwriter and the former lead singer of platinum-selling band Henry Ate, with a few SAMA awards under her belt (the South African equivalent of Grammys). She moved to the United States in 2003, bringing with her an undeniable talent and an uncanny ability to captivate every listener with her addictive songs and mesmerizing performances – she even voted sexiest female performer by South Africa’s Sunday Times.
In March 2008, Karma toured the UK with two sold out shows and a spectacular launch of her second solo album “even if She tried” in the London Eye, where she made history by being the first South African artist to ever perform there.  Experiencing similar success in the US, she is currently on a nationwide tour in support of the album

Always remaining true to herself, Karma has participated in gay and lesbian events throughout her career, headlining Twinkly Sea in Cape Town (1998 & 1999), Gay Days at Disney World (2004), SHE ROCK (2005), West Palm Beach Pride (2005), Aqua Girl Miami (2007) and this year Karma will perform on the main stage at  London Pride - the biggest Pride event in the world, Fort Lauderdale Pride and Pride in the Desert in Tuscon, Arizona.

She has a new single based on her coming out experience as a Mormon girl into the lesbian lifestyle called Paper Cuts. It’s been inspirational to many young women who have written her letters telling her so.
