Sophie and Tessa Barton have been performing together for the past year and have already met wonderful acclaim with a talent search sponsored by a regional artist.  The two girls began working together as a natural progression of both learning to play the guitar.  Tessa's experience as an accomplished pianist and composer, and Sophie's ability to turn any song into one breathing as if it had been born from the soul, was a dynamic combination and perfect breeding ground for the acoustic, tender sound that is uniquely their own.

Sophie began her music career by performing with a local singing and dancing group and then began performing on her own in 2007, and started to get the itch to write her own songs and picked up the guitar for the first time in 2008.  Through encouragement from friends and family, she started writing original material about the life and times of her childhood.  A film director auditioning Sophie, remarked how she needed to look for music more appropriate for her age and was surprised to find out that the inspiration of Sophie's words, were from her own life, a clear indication of the maturity and talent of this young lady.
Tessa has been a composer for several years on the piano, but became interested in the guitar around the same time as Sophie, adding another instrument to her long list of talents, which include; photography, fashion design and photography, the two seemed to be on a serendipitous road to becoming a duo.  Intrigued by the art of songwriting, Tessa turned down several offers for lucrative scholarships in her chosen profession, to be nearer to Sophie so the two could songwrite and develop their career.  This is a happy ending for executives in the music industry.
